AL Central Runs Scored

Runs scored since the All-Star break (entering Friday)

1. White Sox, 143
With 170 runs allowed, their record since the All-Star break was just 15-14.

2. Tigers, 140
Detroit also gave up 183 runs, explaining its 11-18 record.

3. Royals, 121
The Twins had a first-hand look at this team's improvement.

4. Indians, 117
A slumping offense was responsible for the team's 13-15 record.

5. Twins, 84
It's a shame because the pitchers had allowed just 112 runs.

This team is so far beyond unwatchable/unlistenable/uninternetfollowable right now that I have to fight back the urge pop that vein in my neck and swear off baseball forever.

Good teams find ways to win. Bad teams find new ways to lose.

Obviously when things are this bad its really easy to point the finger, but the stars have aligned. It's simple: Abysmal General Management, Failure by the manager to grasp matchups or play the right player through slumps; complete ineptitude by the core hitters to deliver in the clutch. That's all putting it – of course – very simply.
