Twins (67-66) vs Royals (59-73)

I don't have a whole lot to say about the games against Kansas City this weekend. I think it's sweet that they are playing a day/night doubleheader, but it could create double the depression if the Twins continue to lose!

But I'm all about positivity here at East Lake Twins, so I'm looking forward and winning this series will help our race against the Detroit Tigers for second place in the A.L. Central. And it could also help our record against the division, which is currently 21-29, and a primary reason we are out of the playoff race.

Joe Mauer looks to be out again this weekend with his left hamstring injury and could be out for another week.

The Royals find themselves out of last place this late in the season for the first time (just a guess) since 2003. Having a wife from KC, means that the Royals are my second favorite A.L. Central team, so it's nice to have them playing better, and I do hope to see them be more of a factor in the next few years.
