Chicago (4-2) is coming off a sweep of lowly Detroit, scoring 26 runs in three games, while Minnesota (3-4) has only scored 19 runs in the 7 games they've played so far this season. So it looks like it will be more of the same against the high scoring White Sox.
But thankfully, Justin Morneau seems to have things on track as he hit two homeruns against KC. Gomez has continued to get on base and create scoring chances for the Twins.

The Sox looked pretty damn good last night against a clueless Detroit lineup. Buehrle didn't seem to have much difficulty, and I have to say the Sox lineup is much improved over last year. Quentin, Swisher, and Cabrera look like great additions.
UGH. Wha happen?
This line up is showing some signs of progress, but they are still a ways off. Nice to see Span going 1-3 with a walk and a theft.
Blackburn looks pretty good despite only going 5 innings.
Yeah, Blackburn looked good but got caught up in a high pitch count. I think he was at like 95 when he left after the fifth.
Neshek looked good, but he left the ball just a little high on the grand slam pitch to Crede. Mauer wanted it low, but the pitch was about 6 inches higher. Game of inches I say.
Interesting comment by Neshek after yesterday's game...
With a 1-0 count, pitching coach Rick Anderson and catcher Joe Mauer went to the mound. Neshek came back with an inside fastball, and Crede sent it down the left-field line.
"I don't really like to go inside, but (Mauer) really wanted to go in there," Neshek said. "It was up a little. It had a little bit of a tail, where I was really surprised he got that up like that."
Baker is scaring the $#!% out of me. 3 HRs so far?!
But 3 solo shots in 3 straight innings. How odd and rare.
Well, I'd say it was a mixed bag for Baker. 7K 1BB 5H, isn't too bad. And given the combo of extreme fly ball pitcher and the way the ball flew out of USCellular last night, I guess it's nothing too concerning. He's still only got one walk in 11.2IP.
I'm frustrated, however, by Young's complete lack of plate discipline. 3Ks was made only slightly less egregious with the 1 walk/1 hit. But I hope Vavra works with him to start being a little more patient. From what I saw on Game Day, it looked like swings at some very bad pitches.
Everett could definitely use a bit more BP. I can see Tolbert stepping in at SS a bit more at short. He's 7/14 with a couple of walks. Plus, at this point, he's maybe a push defensively. Everett hasn't been showing too much in the field either.
Nice to see Brendan Harris hitting and improving in the field as well.
I was a bit worried when I saw Bass in there last night, but I think he settled down and pitched quite well. I still really like this bullpen. We really just have to up the offensive performance a bit (Morneau should come around) and give the pitchers something to work with.
I disagree slightly with your complaint on Young. I like that he is up there swinging, trying to make something happen, especially with guys like Mauer and Morneau before him, who seem like they sometimes never want to swing.
But yeah, hopefully a little more patience as he gets more comfortable with seeing pitchers again and again.
I'd just hate to see him lose what made him a top ranked prospect, just because a hitting coach tried to slow him down a little.
The reason Delmon needs to start showing some patience is to keep the pitchers honest. If they know he's going to swing away at just any old pitch, do you think they're going to give him something to crush? No way. So then you're left with him waiting for the pitcher to make a mistake, but he tilts the odds in the pitchers favor by hacking.
